LOCAL WATER

You've heard them say the pizza and bagels are best in New Jersey because of the water, right? Well the same goes for the beer crafted here! While we treat the water for each beer based of the style, our local water makes our beer impossible to replicate elsewhere!

ONLY THE BEST MALTS

Whether we are being up something with oodles of gluten, or completely without it, malt provides us with the canvas on which other ingredients thrive. Departed Soles partners with some of the finest maltsters in the world, and always supports local farming when possible!

FRESH HOPS, FOR DAYS

After the water and grain play, Departed Soles employs the freshest hops attainable to deliver the pièce de résistance on each offering. Whether it's just a touch at first wort, a heavy helping in the whirlpool, or piles in the fermenter, hops provide a cornucopia of flavors and aromatics to the finish beer.

YEASTIE BOYS

Fermentation, followed by conditioning and carbonation, also plays a huge part in the way your final beer is perceived. Whether it is lucid or opaque, has hints of clove or perfectly juicy, Departed Soles employs fresh yeast on each batch of beer, including select gluten free strains, to ensure each batch is as unique and flavorful as can be!
